Today I realized that there is only one letter difference between "poison" and "prison". I figured this out when I went to Barnes and Noble today and saw The Poisoner's Handbook and thought it said Prisoner's. And then I wondered why there would be a handbook for prisoners and thought maybe it was some kind of satire. And then I was disappointed not only when it say Poisoner's, but that it was a serious book too.

I got The New Uxbridge Dictionary in the mail on Thursday, because Barnes & Noble didn't have it in store. It's a lot smaller than I thought it would be. I was kind of expecting something like an actual dictionary, but with bullshit definitions. It's still good, what little I've gotten out of it so far.

Can't say much has happened this week, other than Nathan's spring break, which meant that I didn't have to get up at 5:30, and that I didn't have to get up at all on Wednesday. And speaking of Wednesday, I had spent about an hour Tuesday in class setting up the tables and other bits so that I could bring home a drawing I was working on and letter it, only to find out that I set the letters too tall and the spaces to letter them in too narrow. And since there was no way to safely and neatly correct it, I lost another hour or so Thursday making up new tables and bits so I could letter this weekend, and so I could get to the next drawing, the wall section. Which isn't as hard as I thought it would be, or at least I got the foundation wall and basement area down (sans textures) pretty easily.

I got new shoes on Sunday, because my old ones are shot all to hell. And apparently they were too big. Somehow, I'm down to a 10 1/2, and I used to wear up to a 12. Either my feet are shrinking or shoes are being made bigger.

I also got the Dr Horrible book on Sunday. There's still nothing on what Nathan said on the therapist's couch at the end of Act 3. Plus I got Dave Barry's History of the Millennium (So Far) and Sherlock season 1.

This year is not off to a good start. I made a whole three entries last month.

I haven't been to the movies in a little over 3 years. That was when I was forced to go see the first Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. This time, I was forced to go out and see Just Go With It. Which, being an Adam Sandler movie, I was already ready to write off as bad, completely forgetting what the movie even was despite having seen a bunch of commercials already.
But, in all actuality, it wasn't all that bad. Just not really worth the price of admission. It's something I'd probably watch later on TV. And it was even two hours long.
But it also reminded me (other than the commercials) that Sucker Punch is coming out soon. I'd have rather seen that.

And, since only a block away was a Barnes & Noble, we walked over there. And I ended up getting two books for my sister, one for my brother, and I got myself Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. I almost also got a collection of short mystery stories by Agatha Christie, but it all would have been too expensive.

I almost want Pokemon Black. Except for the legendary dragon (I'd rather have the Dragon/Electric instead of Dragon/Fire, and I like Fire types), the few I do like and want are in it, including one White exclusive that's in an in-game trade anyway. But I'll just wait for the inevitable third and improved version.

I'm reading Whitechapel Gods right now, at the request of a different friend. It's not bad. A little slow at first.

I'm not doing too badly in class. Drawing-wise, I'm ahead already, which kind of turns into "damn it" because now I'm working on three views of 3D objects, and then 3D either orthographic or isometric (I forget which) using three views. The curves should be most fun.

I hate it when I get a nail trimmed too close. Or at least in this case, I kind of had to, because I split it a little. Luckily not much lower than when I accidentally trim too close and not the whole nail taken off. That's a pain in itself.

On Sunday I never went to lunch until noon. And before that, between 5:00am and then, I got 10 minutes total to sit down and eat anything. So I was too hungry to be too pissed off. Plus getting books at Barnes & Noble helped. I got the first two volumes of Tegami Bachi (at the recommendation of a friend) and the first two volumes of Yozakura Quartet (which I've been reading online and didn't know was being published officially). And I even went back on Monday (after I stopped GameStop for the Pokemon event) and got Whitechapel Gods (at the recommendation of another friend). And the new Kingdom Hearts, but that was separate and on sale at K-Mart.

I've finally found that it's only taken three exercises, and I can finally letter almost as well as I could years ago. Also, I finally got out at 7:30 tonight, the earliest ever.

I don't think I've done anything interesting in the last week at all. Just work and school, mostly. And lots and lots of Pokemon. Seriously. At least I'm almost done with the main story.

Mogworld is good. Has a kind of Discworld-esque feel to it without being that similar at all. And I'm only 5 chapters in.
