5625 / 50000 words. 11% done!

Hooray flashback/history-type sections! Which may or may not be padding.

This week can't end any faster. I haven't been off since Sunday (which should be normal anyway), but also, I HATE CHRISTMAS. FUCKING COMMERCIALISM.

The only thing keeping my sanity in check this week is Bob Rivers. Otherwise I'd be killing people left and right. Or maybe just running naked through the snow. Who knows.

Bad news good news bad news worse news time.

Bad news: I'm only getting 32 hours this week.

Good news: I get to work the next two nights, thereby skipping Thursday, not counting the hours after midnight.

Bad news: I miss dinner on Thursday (the store is providing ham and turkey, with everyone else bringing stuff), and I only get whatever's left on Saturday.

Worse news: We're staying open from 6am tomorrow until 10pm Thursday.

NEED MORE MUSIC NAO.

Books are funny.

This has been a bad week for my hands. Yesterday I pinched my left pinky pretty deep high in a very tall ladder, and so I couldn't pull it down far enough to pull the two parts keeping my finger captive apart, so I ended up losing a bit of skin. Not to mention I scraped them up on bricks (yesterday) and on god knows what today, but I know they weren't this bad yesterday. And something bit me near my right wrist, because it itches like hell right now.

Speaking of yesterday, CHRISTMAS TREES. MOTHERFUCKING CHRISTMAS TREES. I spent 5 hours "fluffing" (read: straightening out the branches to give them a more "full" look) tress before I ran away screaming went to lunch. And then I had to help decorate them after lunch. The whole ladder-pinky incident occurred while I was trying to pull the extension cords down from the ceiling.
But I ended up covered in glitter. Or at least my arms still were when I left. Which I fear will continue to happen for months to come.
And to you, dear customer, who came up and said we should start playing Christmas music now: FUCK YOU.

So, Scribblenauts...
Is AMAZING. Although I spend way too much time on the title screen destroying things/killing people then I do on the actual levels. Plus I can summon the Large Hadron Collider. Which, when used, breaks, created a black hole, and kills you. But you can't do that if you shoot it/blow it up.
Also, ghosts are indestructible. Except against black holes. And probably flood/tsunami/tidal wave/nuke, though those destroy everything.
And mortars kill God. And sharks like babies with steak glued to them.

I finished Persona 4, finally. Wasn't too impressed with the true ending boss, though now I get the benefits of it in subsequent cycles.

I need to stop going to Barnes & Noble. Or at least until I can sit down and apply for a membership card. I have the urge to spend way too much money there.

I think I've done most writing this week than I have the other two. All of it after 4pm, and then all of it within 6 hours. I think, that if I can keep this up, I'll be done before Thanksgiving, word-wise.

I haven't decided on a reward, but I'm trying to decide between either KH: CoM (cheaper and it comes out 12/2) or a new external HD (a bigger one than I have, and so I have a backup, as mine is over 4 years old and I've dropped it twice now). Either way, I get both eventually, though I think I'll put off the HD until the end of next month.

Speaking of next month (33 days until The-Day-That-Must-Not-Be-Named), the ads at work are getting bigger and bigger, and after next week, will be even worse. It looks like I'll be back to Saturday nights, which takes away both Saturday and Sunday days, it would appear. On one hand, yay not having to work days! On the other hand, that's two days condensed to one, and I wasted money on a red polo shirt and black jeans. Also, it appears I have to work both next Thursday and Friday. It was bad enough two years ago when I only had to work two hours after opening, but actually being there during the day? Hell help us all.

At least tonight I can stay up and then sleep in tomorrow morning, since I don't have to work at all and I don't have to get up to take Nathan to the bus.

Toward Target: Yes! I can do this! I might not be in the best of shape, but I can make it. Holy crap, huge truck!

Toward home: Ow! I can't do this anymore! Oh god, cramp. I would give anything for a saw, even a rusty one. Holy crap, huge truck!

Total mileage: 6-7, give or take.
Total time: 1 hour each way, probably more on the way back.

Target wasn't the only place I went. I started at Best Buy, where I wanted to see the prices on the series I ordered on Saturday (Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Freakazoid, and Tiny Toons). Of those, they only had the last two, and at a higher price. So, I guess I'll have to wait (estimated delivery between 10/4-10/10).

Instead, I got a bunch of movies at $10 a pop.

Shoot Em Up (a second copy, since the first one "didn't work"
Hot Fuzz
History of the World Pt. 1
Count of Monte Cristo
Employee of the Month

Now, speaking of "not working". Neither disc works in my PS2. Neither one works in any video player on this computer... except one: QuickPlay. And they both work. So now I'm stuck with two open copies, which means, even if I had the receipt, all I'd get is a replacement copy.

Which is a funny thing to say. "If" I had the receipt. Somehow I lost the first one on the same day I got it, despite having every other receipt from that day. The other? I have no fucking clue, but it managed to disappear sometime while I was walking home, right out of my pocket. Yet I still have the receipts from Target. It's like that movie is cursed or something.

All I got at Target was a bunch of candy (KitKat, Crunch, Payday, and Butterfinger), all at $2 a bag. Screw the trick or treaters, I have my stomach! Even if it is still over a month until Halloween.

Speaking of holidays still not here, it's only 93 days until The-Holiday-Which-Not-Be-Named. You know, the one with red and green, the trees, the lights, the tinsel, and the presents. There are already trees up and lit at KMart, and I saw decorations at Target, with Halloween signs hung up right over them. This comic is relevant, except push the first date back 6 weeks. -_-

Alright, it's technically Wednesday, so I'm late. ^^;

Anyway, we'll start with the week before last, whereas I twisted my knee for the first time in six years. How, you might ask? I dropped myself down from a height of about six feet onto my left leg badly, twisted it at the knee, and fell to the floor. So for the week after, I was in various states of limp, but I still managed to make to work every night I was scheduled. Hell, I was still doing more than most of the people working, and I was half-crippled.

The weeks leading up to Christmas have been hell. Starting three weeks ago, I got cut to one night a week off. This is that one night for this week. I'll never feel it, of course, since I have to work again tonight. Between having to unload the trucks, put out the freight, and now officially straighten behind the day crew (those lazy-assed good-for-nothings), it's no wonder I'm in such a bad mood anymore. The store is running off the labor of a handful of people, and eventually it will fail. People can only be pushed so far before they break. We can't keep anyone, even at this time of the year. We've hired very little, and the few that are hired end up just disappearing shortly thereafter. I only pray it slows down after Christmas. Between the "No Saturday trucks", "Toys are slowing down," and "No more big shipments" (of which none have come to pass), I don't know what to believe anymore short of general bullshit every night.

Anyway, sorry for the general dumping. Other than that, I don't do much, other than sleep. The nights I can, I play FFXII. I'm still stuck in the Tomb of Raithwall, because I can't connect the rooms. ^^; I even went through the trouble of beating both Demon Walls, so whatever sword I'm supposed to get out of it better be worth it. I didn't even get LP for that fight. ;_;
