I suck at walking in flip-flops. Probably because I rarely ever wear them.

I should probably do my laundry soon. I do have until Saturday, though.

Headline, BBC World News ticker: Women can halve their chance of premature death by adopting a healthier lifestyle.

Well congrats to them! Next they'll report that water is wet, the sun is hot, and broken clocks are in fact right twice a day. But what of men? Do they not reap the same benefits? Are they lessened, or, in fact, a healthier lifestyle contributes to premature death? Does that mean I can eat what I want and sit on my ass all day and not die early? And what of accidents? And diseases? Will being healthy project a kind of shield that guards against them? I demand more research!

Cannon: (n) An enlarged artillery using explosive force to fire a large projectile over long distances.
Canon: (n) What authors write, and what fanpeople fire out of above so their OC has no obstructions on their way to the "smexy" character they can never have under normal circumstances.

So, the 49 hours between 7pm Thursday night and 8pm last night were odd. I slept 16 of those hours, which shouldn't be a problem; in fact, almost average. Except that the first 11 hours were straight; the remaining 5 were bi-curious.

Well, no. I stayed up 28 hours starting from the beginning, having worked 8 of them, and being promised a trip to the mall that didn't occur until 3 hours after when I thought it would. Then, I was out 8 hours, having got clothes at Old Navy, books at Barnes and Noble, and toiletries at Target. Then I finally passed out an hour after getting home (at 10pm), and slept all the way until 10 the next morning. I managed a whole 5 hours awake before I went back to bed, though I pretty much napped in and out for 5 hours.

Speaking of Barnes and Noble, the one at the bottom of the hill to the mall is going out; however, not until they rebuild it (two stories is the rumor) right next to the mall, with an entrance from the mall to the store. What's also odd is that the entrance will be near the B. Daltons already in the mall, so it's most likely that that'll go too, though it's anyone's guess what'll replace it (it's on the "second floor", which is to say, you go upstairs to it, but there isn't an actual second floor across the entire mall).

Also speaking of B&N, the books I got were:

Hogsfather
Sourcery
Interesting Times
The Last Continent

Apparently, I wasn't paying attention too well, or I'd also have Eric. I don't remember seeing Rincewind mentioned on the back, though. o.O

I have a grand total of one entry tagged with one tag. I should get around to that kind of thing sometime.

So, last week I was only supposed to have 4 days (35 hours because of the Fourth); instead I got to work Friday, so I got 5 nights (43 hours). Now, this week was supposed to have the same schedule (Sunday/Wednesday/Friday off), so 4 nights (32 hours). Instead, I get called off tonight. I'm not complaining, at least I get two in a row off, but that's less hours this week unless I get called in later this week.

I have a dead horse.

I have no idea what set it came from. I just found it one night after we had to clean out the toy stockroom. Now I need to get someone to ride it (or possibly beat it).

Mongol looks interesting, from the one and only trailer I've seen of it. A biography of Genghis Khan, if you will, as opposed to Attila the Hun.

Attila: This! Is! Mongol!
Centurion: No, you are mistaken. This is Rome.
Huns: Not anymore! *loot and sack*

Somehow I see the centurion speaking in an English accent. Probably all those old movies where the Romans were all played by British actors with impeccable accents.

Also, Kirk Douglass is awesome. That is all.

I just ate a Fruit Rollup. For those of you who grew up in the 90's, you remember these. I tended to ball them up and eat it all at once, leaving bits of it stuck in my teeth to enjoy hours later. They were that thick and sticky. The one I ate, not so much. It seemed thinner, and it definitely did not stick to my teeth. It was also easy to chew, even in ball form. I am disappointed in Betty Crocker, for making their fruit snacks less enjoyable.

At work the last time I was there (apparently, Saturday night), I saw something: Hamburger Helper with "Think Pink" for breast cancer awareness. I don't know about you, but the last thing I think of when I "think pink" is undercooked hamburger meat.

Normally I say I'm right handed. I do most everything with my right hand. However, apparently I can't drink from a bottle right handed, or at least not have it feel odd. Usually, I take the cap off with my right hand and drink with the left. Without thinking, I did it opposite, and it was when I was drinking that I noticed it felt strange. Lucky for me, I managed to drink without getting any on me (not that I do normally xP).

Sometimes I wonder why I sleep all day and stay up all night on my nights off. You'd think I'd want to be up during the day so I can do day stuff, considering most places of business like to keep daytime hours instead of nighttime. I think that's damned inconsiderate of them.
