When I decided that I wanted to get as close to 40K before Thursday, and that I could make a pretty good dent today, I didn't think that "pretty good dent" would be over 4000 words. I'm starting to think I might hit 50K before the actual conclusion and not have to rely on some bullshit story extender to get that far.

Also, I found all my previous novels, most of which are saved as .wps documents, and then I found a program that lets me open .wps files, so I can relive my old shames again! And I know that I have most, if not all, of the very first one also saved as several handwritten documents.

I remember watching Witch Hunter Robin back when Adult Swim was for anime Cartoon Network wouldn't play during the day. I remember that I liked it, but I never managed to watch the entire thing, about ten or so episodes in the middle. So I went back and watched it all over during the last week and a half.

It didn't really hold up. It wasn't bad, like terrible bad, more like mediocre bad. It's something I did like way back then, when I didn't know any better about good storytelling and characterization. It kind of makes me wonder if anything else I think I liked still holds up. With as much Internet access as I have now, I am going back and watching over some of the stuff I used to watch and may or may not have completed. Outlaw Star comes to mind, actually, because all I do remember is that I have it in my head that it's similar to Cowboy Bebop, which I find has held up even after all this time. And I kind of don't want to go back and find out it's not as good as I remember, that it'll turn out like WHR did.

Today at work I saw the best thing ever:

25th anniversary Ninja Turtles.

They're exactly like they were from my childhood, down to the little accessories and weapons that have to be popped out of the little frame. They only had Donatello, Leonardo, Splinter, and Rocksteady, and I even checked around to see if the others were in some stockroom, but no luck. I must have these!

Even though I've already put ~77 hours into it, I think I'm getting close to the end of Persona 3. Or at least some kind of conclusion, I hope, since there are only a few months left.
And speaking of Persona 3, I'm really loving the amount of mythology thrown in. I started on the Wikipedia page for Thanatos and ended up bouncing around to several other pages. Atlus really put a lot of work into it, though I suspect it's been this way since the original SMT games.

Geez, I just wasted almost two hours, but all of my entries are now tagged with at least one tag. Now if I could figure out how to make the most used ones bigger than the others, I'd be set.

Pretty popular tags: work, video games, nano, omg i suck

While I'm thinking about it, something I found in a document from three years ago:

Sodium and water = very very good shit.

Cesium and water = oh lordy did you feel earth move too, baby?

BUT wait... Mg + HCl = H2 + MgCl, and H2very good boomable material.

Ergo, Na + H2O + Mg + HCl = orgy on the White House lawn during Easter.

Found in a notepad with the code for a NaNo progress graph that doesn't work anymore. I can't tell if I wrote it or if I copied it from someone. I have no idea what the second line means, or why it's even there if it's excluded from the end.

In six days I'll have been on LJ for 4 years, though not with this journal. It feels like it was so long ago that I was some dumb kid posting 50 memes a day for the hell of it. xD

Mr. Paulson, what does the scouter say about the DOW Jones?
It's under 9000!
What 9000?

...I think that would have been more relevant at yesterday's close.

I believe a couple weeks ago I mentioned getting WB cartoons from the 90's. Well, it's been those couple of weeks, and I've had them. xP I watched all of Freakazoid last week, and I started Tiny Toons this week. Just watching them reminded me of watching them when I was little, and that I had no idea the order they were aired. Also, need more Season 2, but that'll be Vol. 3, because Vol. is only the first half of Season 1. o.O

I also need to find a copy of Army of Darkness. Just because.

And Summon Night: Twin Ages. Also just because.

I have a 12 pack of Vanilla Coke! And it's even regular Coke, not the Coke Zero!

Also have the cartoons I mentioned in the previous post. I watched Freakzoid last week. I think I'll watch Tiny Toons this week, as I don't have to work until Friday again.

Also, I think I need to invest in a new, larger external HD. I've discovered torrents, and while I can't get anything mega fast, I can get large amounts of stuff easily. o.o I just don't have the room to keep it all.

The Vanilla Coke mentioned at the top? I think I'll use it on Tuesday. Might as well play a non-alcoholic drinking game. Better to be hopped up on caffeine than watch it "sober". xD

I just ate a Fruit Rollup. For those of you who grew up in the 90's, you remember these. I tended to ball them up and eat it all at once, leaving bits of it stuck in my teeth to enjoy hours later. They were that thick and sticky. The one I ate, not so much. It seemed thinner, and it definitely did not stick to my teeth. It was also easy to chew, even in ball form. I am disappointed in Betty Crocker, for making their fruit snacks less enjoyable.

At work the last time I was there (apparently, Saturday night), I saw something: Hamburger Helper with "Think Pink" for breast cancer awareness. I don't know about you, but the last thing I think of when I "think pink" is undercooked hamburger meat.

Normally I say I'm right handed. I do most everything with my right hand. However, apparently I can't drink from a bottle right handed, or at least not have it feel odd. Usually, I take the cap off with my right hand and drink with the left. Without thinking, I did it opposite, and it was when I was drinking that I noticed it felt strange. Lucky for me, I managed to drink without getting any on me (not that I do normally xP).

Sometimes I wonder why I sleep all day and stay up all night on my nights off. You'd think I'd want to be up during the day so I can do day stuff, considering most places of business like to keep daytime hours instead of nighttime. I think that's damned inconsiderate of them.
