I hate it when I get a nail trimmed too close. Or at least in this case, I kind of had to, because I split it a little. Luckily not much lower than when I accidentally trim too close and not the whole nail taken off. That's a pain in itself.

On Sunday I never went to lunch until noon. And before that, between 5:00am and then, I got 10 minutes total to sit down and eat anything. So I was too hungry to be too pissed off. Plus getting books at Barnes & Noble helped. I got the first two volumes of Tegami Bachi (at the recommendation of a friend) and the first two volumes of Yozakura Quartet (which I've been reading online and didn't know was being published officially). And I even went back on Monday (after I stopped GameStop for the Pokemon event) and got Whitechapel Gods (at the recommendation of another friend). And the new Kingdom Hearts, but that was separate and on sale at K-Mart.

I've finally found that it's only taken three exercises, and I can finally letter almost as well as I could years ago. Also, I finally got out at 7:30 tonight, the earliest ever.

I'm actually tanned. Maybe a little burned, especially on the back of my neck, but I'm actually darker than when I started this morning. OK, so it's a farmer's tan, but there's definitely darkening.
And also the soreness. Spent ~5 hours today starting to clean out the former auto center and throwing trash and scrap metal into dumpsters. Metal is heavy. So I am sore.

The water heater broke on Saturday. It affected the shower. I ended up washing my hair and the important bits in cold water for a few days. And I know it's been only 5 days, but that shower tonight felt so good.

I've also been somewhat sick with a head cold since Saturday (unrelated). Enough on Sunday that I actually called in sick. So I finally got a Sunday off, and I spent it asleep and/or miserable.

Yesterday, I had to pull weeds and paint the curb and handicapped ramp at work. Today I am sore in the legs. The arms, not so much anymore. My hands, still sore where I scrapped the knuckles on the concrete. And I finally got all the paint off my hands.

I've been re-addicted to Persona 3. Which, now I wonder if I'll even want to play it when it comes out next month.

A wise man once said, "Be kind to your knees, you’ll miss them when they’re gone."
I didn't graduate in 1997, though. But I think it was around in 2000.

OH GOD MY KNEES I WISH I DIDN'T HAVE THEM.
Except that I'd probably walk around all stiff-legged. Or something like that.
I think I need to soak them. All weekend. But all I get is tomorrow.
I just want a Sunday off.
And possibly a raise. And a vacation. And a better job. And knees that DON'T FEEL LIKE BALLS OF MOLTEN STEEL.

Damn you human flesh, for being so soft and easy to cut.
Damn you nerve endings, for making me feel the whole thing.
And damn you, cardboard, for being made of paper.

Currently fanboying Durarara!! Must find better, more timely sub group, though.

So out of boredom at lunch today (and today was just boring in general, with a really small truck that came in as soon as I got to work today), I went over to the mall, like I do about every other week or so. And so I found Heat Wave at Barnes & Noble and got that, as well as my membership finally. Except I screwed up, paid for the book, and then got the membership. Which resulted in a manager coming over and fixing everything up, which actually wasn't so bad.
But as for the book itself, it's not as thick as I thought. It's less than 200 pages. And the plot summary in the jacket reads pretty similarly to the actual plot of Castle, although the author info is actually that of Richard Castle.

Closely related: Damn you Psych, for being on hiatus until next January except for one episode around Christmas.

My leg still hurts where I'm sure I hit it on the drain stopper Sunday night. It still hasn't discolored that much, but it gets kind of stiff when I'm not walking around for a while. The bump on the back of my head is all but gone, though still hurts a little if I press in that spot.
