I remember watching Witch Hunter Robin back when Adult Swim was for anime Cartoon Network wouldn't play during the day. I remember that I liked it, but I never managed to watch the entire thing, about ten or so episodes in the middle. So I went back and watched it all over during the last week and a half.

It didn't really hold up. It wasn't bad, like terrible bad, more like mediocre bad. It's something I did like way back then, when I didn't know any better about good storytelling and characterization. It kind of makes me wonder if anything else I think I liked still holds up. With as much Internet access as I have now, I am going back and watching over some of the stuff I used to watch and may or may not have completed. Outlaw Star comes to mind, actually, because all I do remember is that I have it in my head that it's similar to Cowboy Bebop, which I find has held up even after all this time. And I kind of don't want to go back and find out it's not as good as I remember, that it'll turn out like WHR did.

So, P3P.

It puts the text under a cut )

Also, I've just ended two weeks of working overnight. I don't want to go back to daytime. I'm not even really adjusted yet. I passed out hard at 6:30 last night (I was only up for 22 1/2 hours; I should have been that bad yet) and got up sometime between 3:00 and 4:00 this morning. Luckily (or unluckily, I suppose), I have to work at 5:00am tomorrow. So I'm partially adjusted.

I finished And Another Thing yesterday. I have to say... it wasn't all that good.

Review with possible spoilers )

I've found that all that typing last month has upped my typing speed. Although only when I actually know what I want to say. Then I'm as slow as ever.

Last night I was very painfully aware that I had knees. Seriously. It took a while to fall asleep.

Also, I had to work today. On my day off. The only good thing is that it's 7 extra hours on this week, to partially make up the 9 I lost last week.

I just wish they'd update sometime soon.

I guess "tomorrow" translates to "three days from now" in my world.

Anyway, reviews! I've been watching movies that I own that I haven't watched yet for the past few weeks. This doesn't count movies I own and have seen before, but haven't watched since I bought them.

Other than that, I started Persona 3: FES up again last week, and have been playing that. Actually, that's kind of why I missed Wednesday for posting. I was too busy with that. ^^; Nearly two months in, and apparently I haven't been visiting Tartarus as often as I should, according to a friend. It's only because I'm trying to make the MC a bishie, so it's all good.
And I 100% completed TWEWY last week, too, though I've still been playing to max out HP and Drop Rate.

It's the night before Christmas, and that means...

24 hour Christmas Story marathon!

I spent Monday in bed with the same stomach flu Nathan had over the weekend, only getting up twice, as those two times I managed to find myself over the toilet with my stomach flipped inside out. And even when I recovered early Tuesday morning, I still had a minor fever, so I skipped work that day too. And then I went in today and, for the first time, got my share of the food that I'd normally miss working nights.

Even earlier than that, I finished GrimGrimoire last week, playing it in less than a week and logging in only 15 hours or so.

Spoilers for the uninitiated )

And so far, I've only done the first floor of KH: Re:CoM, up through Axel I. And since the map is round (and 3D) instead of rectangular, Axel's Flame Wall teleports him to the middle and radiates fire across the entire arena. On top of that, he can play a combo with a single card.

Pros:
Dodge Roll is much easier to use
Much easier to dodge attacks, stock cards for sleights

Cons:
With Dodge Roll on Square and the camera on the right joystick, it's hard to control both
Depth is a little off, sometimes I ended up running into a Heartless trying to stun them
Breakable objects don't respawn, even after reloading, making farming for cards/MP harder

I haven't played since Friday, though. Saturday, I got my copy of Dr. Horrible, finally, Sunday I napped and had to help digging through Christmas decorations, and you know what happened after that.

Speaking of Dr. Horrible, all I've done with it is watch it with the Wiccan (yes, Wiccan) subtitles. I haven't played with the hidden Easter eggs yet, but I've figured out how to get to them (by waiting for other people to do it for me xD).

I finished Soul Nomad. It wasn't as hard as I thought it was, oddly enough.

Spoilers here )

I need to rearrange my room. I need a lower stand for my TV. Even on my bed, it's above my head, and I'm sick of looking up at it. The only downside is that I lose the shelves that have my books, CDs, and DVDs on, though with the right stand, I can store my DVDs, at least. Maybe I need a bookshelf...
