Made it through my finals, though I wish I had done better on the construction materials one. Overall, I had a 94 total, with one grade missing, but even that one being a 100 (I'm pretty sure) would have probably only bumped up the final grade 1-2 points based on weight. But now I can't tell because the grades were taken down for some reason.

As for English, I think I did well enough. Probably about the same grade, as the lowest I got all semester was a 90, and that was on the first two papers. Since I got a 98 on the third and a 94 on the fourth, I should do fine, whenever those get posted.

So now I'm free the rest of the year, and if it weren't for the fact that I have to get up and get my brother up Monday morning (he's out of school starting Wednesday), it'd be a nice day in which I don't have to get up and go anywhere. As such, that won't happen until next Saturday (unless tonight counts, as I work tomorrow night, and I plan on trying to stay up all night).

I've been playing too much Pokemon this year. I started with Platinum at the beginning of the year, Black in the summer, and I now just got a used copy of Soul Silver and am playing that. I like it that it's not attention-dependent (most of the time), and I can watch stuff at the same time. I have watched so much anime this last year, too.

Another 3000+ day. I did reach my goal of 20K before today, and I've basically hit my goal of getting between 22K-23K before Monday. So maybe I'll try for 25K tomorrow, because on Sunday I plan on getting ready for the in class essay on Monday, and I don't think I'll have too much time to write.

Wow did I write a lot today. My plan was to get to 20K before Sunday, and it looks like that'll be no problem to finish up on tomorrow. Even better, then, I would like to get as close to 25K before Monday, as I have an in class essay that day, and I know I'll be getting out later than I have the last few weeks and I won't feel like writing.

Oh god why do I do this.
The construction methods and materials class is dense. As in, it's 5 hours once a week (the first reprieve), and the book is like something used in construction. The first chapter is only 23 pages. Three columns, 10-11 point font. With ~4 pages on tables and such. And the whole thing is only 24 chapters and over 1000 pages including appendices and glossary.
The writing class isn't too bad. 3 hours once a week, though papers. Papers everywhere. A rough draft due on Monday, even. But two weeks to finish that because of Labor Day.

I think I want to buy myself some extra icons, even though I hardly update anymore. Mostly I stick to communities and comments these days.

Mom's been in the hospital since Tuesday. Originally thought to be kidney failure, it turned out to be a kidney stone. She's been fine; she might come home tomorrow but be out of work for 4-6 weeks. Hopefully sans tube in her back to the kidney. She's up and walking around from time to time, so, for the most, she's OK.

School starts next week. Not for me, since I have classes on Mondays and Tuesdays, and the first day is Wednesday.

Actually, I've had this computer since Thursday. It's actually pretty damn nice. The width has taken some getting used to, especially with the inclusion of the number pad and the keys I tend to use a lot (Home, End, Page Up/Down, etc) are along the top instead of down the right side, and the arrow keys aren't all the way to the right, either.
But I can see so much more now, considering the resolution is so much higher (1600x900 versus 1280x700). The downside is that it's now even wider than tall, so it's harder to find wallpapers. The one I transferred over isn't pixelated, just stretched a bit more.
But overall, I'm satisfied with it. It runs so much smoother than the last one. I'm even liking some of the features I'm finding in Windows 7.

I aced the Humanities class. It wasn't really that hard, given a lot of it was subjective anyway. The real pain was the weekly essays and then the three tests + research paper + final on top of those. I got an A- in the drafting class, so not bad there. I think a lot of my problem is still lettering, in that I'm still not terribly consistent. Other than that, I think I managed to shake some of the rust off my drafting skills.

Finals are complete (final drawings in drafting class not graded yet, though), semester over, and my laptop is mostly kaput, finally. The monitor is dead, and it has also effected the bits near it (the wire to the sleep button was already severed a while ago, and now it's starting to affect the power button and the touch buttons on the top of the keyboard). Everything else works, so right now I'm hooked up to a desktop monitor, and I've transferred anything of importance and lists of things to an external HD until my new computer arrives. So I'm mostly stuck without a computer until probably next week, not to say I can't borrow another one or continue using this monitor when no one else is.
