pirho_maniac: (y so srs?)
It's been two months of mild to warm weather, and then it snows again today. Only the small dry stuff that sticks long enough to melt and has a very small pattern that can't really be seen by the naked eye. And it was windy as all hell. At least it didn't blow into the truck, but it did blow from some sub shop, but I have no idea where from because the nearest ones not inside are at least a mile away and would have to compete with other restaurants' smells.

Given that I have almost 70 hours of vacation time saved up in the last two years, I'm finally taking a week in April. Uncoincidentally (because I planned it that way) it's the same week my brother has his Easter break, so I can sleep in all week. Except that Tuesday because of a dentist appointment, but I don't have to do anything that week, hopefully. Though, I don't know what I'll do with myself for a whole week.

For Christmas I got two shirts, a pair of jeans, season 3 of Castle, two Charleston Chew bars, and a case of 9 retro sodas. I don't know how people could stand the taste of Bubble Up, though; the taste is kind of oddly metallic, or maybe there's too much lime to the lemon.

OH GOD IT'S SNOWING IT'S THE FIRST SNOW OF THE SEASON EVERYONE PANIC.

It's sticking, too, so looks like I'll have to check for closings/delays tomorrow morning. And as to whether or not I can even make it into work, too.

It finally cooled off in the last week - sort of. Well, at least it finally rained and stormed a lot, so the temperature finally dropped below 80F for a few days, only to jump back up to 90F+ today. And with The Weather Channel calling for "isolated thunderstorms" over the next week, this should be interesting. Although, they say that all the time anyway, so who knows?

Also, SUNDAY OFF SUNDAY OFF SUNDAY OFF SUNDAY OFF. The first one in a month. And I did have to raise a stink about it, because I already said once that I wanted the same every-other-Sunday that everyone else gets. So I have a whole weekend of possible stuffs if I can just make it through the next three days.

Also also, The World God Only Knows - they need to stop making it in 12 episode bites. While 24 episodes so far have covered 39 of the first 41 chapters (I think the last episode of season 2 will cover those other two chapters), there's still another 106 chapters to go (so far). And that's if it continues for a third season or beyond. And I'd like to know if the manga will ever be translated. I'd actually buy it if it were.

OH GOD IT'S THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING MAGICAL WARMNESS TIME.
Actually, it's been unseasonably warm since the beginning of February. I don't think it's gone below 55F during the day since them. THAT MEANS THE GROUNDHOG IS A WITCH. Or something.

Also, Kingdom Hearts: ReCoded is surprisingly addictive despite the crap controls. I wish the camera didn't have to be moved separate from actual movement. It's kind of a pain.

When I went to bed last night, it was only just cloudy out, and the only snow was what was on the ground already.
When I got up this morning, OMGWE'REALLGONNADIE. Although, Nathan's school was already closed last night, so I didn't have to get up early or anything. But now I'm not sure if I'll make it into work tonight.

Today was chilly, gray, and rainy, the perfect fall day. Naturally, I loved it.

Also, I got Earth: The Book at lunch today. It's a really good read so far.

Saturday mornings: The one day a week I get to sleep all morning with no repercussions.

Also rain. Any snow that still lingered is now gone. Thank god. And those rumors about another snowstorm next week were thankfully false.

The weather is so bad that evening classes were already canceled. On top of that, Nathan's school was canceled, so I'm free the rest of the day.

Although I have to go back to work tomorrow on days again, maybe, if Nathan isn't off school again. I liked working nights again.

Also, sometime around 1am, the cable company decided to lay down some new lines, and subsequently cut off our cable, Internet, and phone. Not a huge problem overnight (especially the last one), but it made checking for closings at 6am a pain. I had to resort to radio of all things. Although as soon as I caught it on that, the TV came back. The Internet came back sometime after that, but I had already gone back to bed.

The weather is being screwy. At least the freezing rain that was supposed to come earlier this evening never amounted to anything, though it'll probably still freeze overnight anyway. The school called a two hour delay at 2pm (or earlier, I was sleeping until then), so I have two hours extra to sleep tomorrow.

Plus I need to use tomorrow being off to find my other headphones (I hate earbuds, but they're all I have now), clean up the laundry room (and hopefully get rid of the litter box and make Midnight go outside again), and clean up my room (or at least the nightstand; I can't see the wood on top anymore). And maybe finish up the drawing I started in class tonight. I couldn't concentrate with the headache I stupidly didn't medicate before leaving, especially on finding something I have no idea where it is.
