So I did start class last week. Not classes, because one was canceled due to insufficient registration.
And then the bookstore ordered the wrong book for the other class, which I didn't know until I got to class that night. So I have to return it tonight before class (which I only have Tuesday and Thursday nights now).
And get a flash drive soon. I actually didn't even think about that until just now.

Persona 4 is fun. Trippy, but fun. I'm four months into it now.

Dissidia came out today. I'll probably get it later.

Oh. My. God.

Normally I'd say "Meh", since I've become somewhat jaded with the Final Fantasy series (save FFTA2), but damn. This looks fucking awesome.

I've decided that having 12 people on the track is cheap and painful. I have never been combo'd so many times in my life. The worst one: Just seconds from the finish line on the last lap, I get blue shelled, red shelled, and lightninged, all in rapid succession. Then I placed 8th. -_-

Also, the Wiimote sucks for steering, or at least the nunchuck does. The joystick doesn't work right. I have a lot more success with a GameCube controller.

I've decided that so far, FFTA2 hasn't provided much of a challenge, story-battle-wise, at least. Even leveling up to 20-23 made the lv44 Red Mage so much easier. However, Ghosts and Deathscythes are evil, and they suck at rezzing themselves after 2-3 turns. -_- I couldn't kill them down to more than 2 left before they popped back up and came after me. On top of that, I broke the law (Copycat), and 3 of my own deaths later, I had to forfeit. Thankfully, all failed missions can be redone until you succeed.

Didn't post this earlier, but I have FFTA2 now. For the first time since I got it, TWEWY is now back in its case. I can't say that the sequel is an improvement over the original, seeing as I only have 6 missions completed, but I can say this:

-Holy fuck, huge chicken! And in the very first battle, too. Damn thing takes up a 3x3 area, and it's only attack (that I saw) hits the three panels in front of it. Luso was dead in two turns because he couldn't move again.
-Thieves: nerfed. Badly. Normally, the point of a thief in an SRPG is to strip the enemy naked and laugh while they feebly try to fight back. Now they've been reduced to what Steal does in FFXII: takes loot (and in that case, random rare equips), though there is one specific ability to steal accessories (no word on whether or not shoes are exempt as they were in the first one).
-Instead of starting a battle with full MP, you start with none. Zip, zero, nada. The recovery rate is 10 MP/turn instead of 5 like the first one, but now you don't get to use your best spells right off the bat without cutting their MP costs down, and you're completely without Damage>MP's protection until your turn, or you can get another unit to heal your MP.
-Laws have changed. Before, you broke the law, you went to jail. Now, the law is like a guideline to follow. Obey, and the judge stays. You can revive dead units. The clan privilege stays in effect. You even get a little bonus at the end. Break it, and the judge leaves, you can't revive at all, you lose your clan privilege, and you lose the bonus.
-Speaking of clan privilege, they are there. Basically, a little bonus added onto you at the beginning and stays in effect as long as the judge is there. Most of what I have are slight stat bonuses, though starting up with FFTA in the second slot grants Libra (yes, the traps of FFT/XII rear their ugly heads once again, though I have yet to see them).
-The store works a little different. Instead of it updating every so often during the story, you have to update it yourself with the bazaar. All that loot that drops from enemies/gained after a mission can be traded in for that item to be added to the store to be purchased later. It's a little complicated, but basically, link the items from a particular rank (A-E) from the categories needed (Bone, Hide, Magicite, etc), and you can make an item.
-Instead of EXP being earned for each and every ability/attack used (whether it heals HP or /causes the same status effect/etc), you get a lump sum at the end of the battle, with a bonus given based on how that unit performed in battle. One unit becomes the MVP, which grants more bonus EXP (it's still 100 per level), and something to happen in the unit's status screen. I'm not sure what it does, though, or how many times it takes to build it up. Also, the entire clan gains AP, whether they participated or not. Useful for those 999 AP abilities, I suppose.
-Some jobs, whether you have the required A-Abilities, will not unlock until you complete a mission (you'll see where they are with question marks instead of a name). So far the only one I've gotten this way is Green Mage.

Well, other than that, I can't think of anything. I'm kind of stuck with the units I started with, and without proper loot, I can't get any more abilities except for the fact that my White Mage is now a Green Mage and learning Sleep. Also, I'm kind of poor. xD

...And I'll do nothing of any interest all day if I want to.

So now I'm 22. Go figure.

I got a Starbucks gift card and an Old Navy gift card, both amounts undetermined. Also, a homemade card from Nathan. Also also, a really good cake that while it doesn't have whipped cream icing, is still really good.

So what did I do all day?

Well, other than sleep, I played Disgaea 2, and now I've conquered the Dark World and gotten Usagi's Journal. Another INT/RES equip. <3 Also, the image they used in the cutscene when I finished the last stage was new to me, and I wouldn't have any way of finding it. Basically, it's the Dark Sun on the ground, cracked and broken with a good chunk taken out of its shell, showing a hollow interior.

So yeah, I did nothing all day. Go figure.

I live in a basement!

No windows to the outside. It is as dark in here at 10am as it is at 10pm. The only way I know the time of day is to look at a clock (or go upstairs/outside, but who is that crazy?). Nice for sleeping in in the morning.

I actually had Internet last night, but I didn't feel like updating, because I had so much to catch up on first. -_-; There's not much to say, other than that I have to go upstairs to go to the bathroom/eat real food. I want to get a mini-fridge down here. And then knock out the storage room past the laundry room and install a bathroom.

At least I'm all settled in here now, for now, anyway. My new TV doesn't fit into the entertainment center, so it sits on top of it. That's actually good, because then I don't have to look down so far at it, and instead I can look up a little. I now have all my movies (lol, I have so many -_- [/sarcasm]), CDs, games, and books on it.

I spent the past few days (Internet-less) getting everything unpacked and put away as best I could. At night I had my PS2, so I alternated between starting a new game in FFX and Threads of Fate. Then on Tuesday, we got cable, but I didn't watch a whole lot anyway.

Boring, I am so boring. Also, I keep wanting to use the touchpad, even though I got a mouse a month ago and am now able to use it. It's a little touchy, but I like it a hell of a lot better than the touchpad.

Now we're moving into the house on Sunday. I believe we are getting a truck tomorrow, which means I get to spend most likely tomorrow and Sunday loading things into and unloading them at the house. On the downside, PAIN. TORTURE. HOPEFULLY NOT DEATH. On the upside, MY OWN ROOM. FINALLY. Plus I get my bed back. FINALLY. I may have to flip the mattress.

On the subject of furnishing my own room out of my own pocket, I bought a new TV. A 32" flatscreen that, with any luck, will fit into the entertainment center that I get because there's no where to go with it upstairs. Mom got the exact same TV for the sun room, too (or I should say, Dad paid for it, and she's going to "pay him back"). Also, I get to rearrange my room again. -_- That means moving the dresser to the opposite side of the room and moving my desk after I load down two of the drawers.

On the subject of my FFT solo Ramza challenge, I deviated a lot from the actual guide (good, because I don't like to follow them to the letter xD), but now I do want to get the Arithmetician skills learned. I figure Iaido isn't going to save me all the time (though having buffs and healing is nice), and being able to nuke the field with Holy and even heal myself with it is very appealing. xD So, right now I am at the beginning of Chapter 2, having completed the first battle at Dorter as a Geomancer (for the HP/attack boost, and because I couldn't get on the buildings as an Archer with a Jump of only 3). Now I'm an Archer, with an Ice Bow, so the next battle will be cake (lol, ice weak Goblins). Getting some random battles perfectly in my favor will be a challenge, though, to build up the abilities needed to get a perfect Arithmetician.

In other news, I found a save file that had almost all the items (multi-player included), 99 of each, Ramza, 5 generic males and Delita as Dark Knights, all jobs mastered (though not all lv8), and everyone at lv1 right after the first actual battle in Chapter 1 (right before saving Argoth). I'm disappointed, because the missing items (7 in all) are all multi-player, and two of those are the Onion items (armor and gloves), so I can't build a perfect Onion Knight. The new weapons/armors/accessories I do have are very freaking nice, though. I could do a solo Ramza with this file very easily. xD

So... I finally went ahead and started a Ramza only challenge in FFT: WotL. That means no dispatching other characters, and all you're allowed on the field is Ramza and any guests. I'm not following the rule of dismissing anyone who comes in during the story (striping them down first), but I won't actually use them, either.

The first battle, I almost had in one try, until one of enemy units took a crystal I could have used to keep myself alive. Thus followed a series of resets until I finally finished the battle successfully. The next was much easier. I hid in the corner, spamming Tailwind, while Delita and Argath suicided themselves. Then, with my superior speed, I massacred everything.

After that follows several more fairly easy battles, with one mistake during the second round with Milleuda. Then, after that fight, I spent over an hour getting perfect conditions for a random fight so Ramza could safely learn some more of the Knight's abilities.

Arts of War
Mettle
Auto Potion
Earned JP Up
Move +1

With this, I could only be healed by an attack, and I had some attempts where I didn't activate Auto Potion once. But, I finally pulled through, and now I have four jobs mastered* already. With only two battles left in Ch1, it looks like I might be able to pull off this challenge without resorting to pure Arithmeticks.

Current stats:

Martial Arts
Mettle
Auto Potion
Equip Heavy Armor
Move +1

*Chemist and Knight fully, Squire only as a Ch1 Squire, and Onion Knight has no abilities anyway.

House status: I have almost all of my stuff in my room now, except for my bed and most likely the entertainment center that sits in the living room now. I have just about everything unpacked in there, and I can't really do anything else until I get the rest of my furniture in there. So my books, CDs, and DVDs all sit piled next to my desk. My clothes sit piled over by the dresser, because I need to go through them and most likely get rid of a lot of them. Speaking of the dresser, I bought that and a nightstand myself, together, for the cost of the nightstand alone. Right now the nightstand sits stuffed with sheets. xP

Also, there are spiders in my room, or at least they like to hang out in there. One day I was there, sitting in front of my desk, and one descended onto my knee. -_- So, I smacked myself and got spider guts on my pants. xP

On last thing:

I leveled last week, finally, and advanced to Mage on Saturday. Lv1 Explosion FTW!

Some things:

-I got FFT and Disgaea for my PSP, as well as a(n overpriced, I learned later) memory stick. The slowdown that occurs whenever anyone uses anything other than a non-human physical attack is kind of annoying. The dialog sounds somewhat better in some places, and really forced in others (see: the exchange between Garrgarion and Agrias at the beginning). As of right now, I am just to Lionel Castle, having stripped Agrias down and redistributed her stuff. xD I haven't tried Disgaea yet.
- I've seen my room in the new house. No windows whatsoever. Also, I have to go upstairs to use the bathroom. My feet are longer than the steps leading up. o.o
- I've made two new icons in the past few days, both MapleStory related. o.o

Alright, it's technically Wednesday, so I'm late. ^^;

Anyway, we'll start with the week before last, whereas I twisted my knee for the first time in six years. How, you might ask? I dropped myself down from a height of about six feet onto my left leg badly, twisted it at the knee, and fell to the floor. So for the week after, I was in various states of limp, but I still managed to make to work every night I was scheduled. Hell, I was still doing more than most of the people working, and I was half-crippled.

The weeks leading up to Christmas have been hell. Starting three weeks ago, I got cut to one night a week off. This is that one night for this week. I'll never feel it, of course, since I have to work again tonight. Between having to unload the trucks, put out the freight, and now officially straighten behind the day crew (those lazy-assed good-for-nothings), it's no wonder I'm in such a bad mood anymore. The store is running off the labor of a handful of people, and eventually it will fail. People can only be pushed so far before they break. We can't keep anyone, even at this time of the year. We've hired very little, and the few that are hired end up just disappearing shortly thereafter. I only pray it slows down after Christmas. Between the "No Saturday trucks", "Toys are slowing down," and "No more big shipments" (of which none have come to pass), I don't know what to believe anymore short of general bullshit every night.

Anyway, sorry for the general dumping. Other than that, I don't do much, other than sleep. The nights I can, I play FFXII. I'm still stuck in the Tomb of Raithwall, because I can't connect the rooms. ^^; I even went through the trouble of beating both Demon Walls, so whatever sword I'm supposed to get out of it better be worth it. I didn't even get LP for that fight. ;_;
