I got The New Uxbridge Dictionary in the mail on Thursday, because Barnes & Noble didn't have it in store. It's a lot smaller than I thought it would be. I was kind of expecting something like an actual dictionary, but with bullshit definitions. It's still good, what little I've gotten out of it so far.

Can't say much has happened this week, other than Nathan's spring break, which meant that I didn't have to get up at 5:30, and that I didn't have to get up at all on Wednesday. And speaking of Wednesday, I had spent about an hour Tuesday in class setting up the tables and other bits so that I could bring home a drawing I was working on and letter it, only to find out that I set the letters too tall and the spaces to letter them in too narrow. And since there was no way to safely and neatly correct it, I lost another hour or so Thursday making up new tables and bits so I could letter this weekend, and so I could get to the next drawing, the wall section. Which isn't as hard as I thought it would be, or at least I got the foundation wall and basement area down (sans textures) pretty easily.

I got new shoes on Sunday, because my old ones are shot all to hell. And apparently they were too big. Somehow, I'm down to a 10 1/2, and I used to wear up to a 12. Either my feet are shrinking or shoes are being made bigger.

I also got the Dr Horrible book on Sunday. There's still nothing on what Nathan said on the therapist's couch at the end of Act 3. Plus I got Dave Barry's History of the Millennium (So Far) and Sherlock season 1.

Midnight (one of my cats) just bit me on the forehead. Well, I assume he was going for my bangs and ended up at my forehead. He does this a lot, climbing all over me and laying on top of me and/or my laptop and expecting attention.

Yesterday, since I worked, and I had more time between work and class, I walked over to the mall. I ended up getting Prinny 2 and God Eater Burst. All I've done with the latter is screw around with the character creation for both genders. For the most part, it's kind of lacking, and there are very few of the voices that are not either bad or downright annoying.

This year is not off to a good start. I made a whole three entries last month.

I haven't been to the movies in a little over 3 years. That was when I was forced to go see the first Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. This time, I was forced to go out and see Just Go With It. Which, being an Adam Sandler movie, I was already ready to write off as bad, completely forgetting what the movie even was despite having seen a bunch of commercials already.
But, in all actuality, it wasn't all that bad. Just not really worth the price of admission. It's something I'd probably watch later on TV. And it was even two hours long.
But it also reminded me (other than the commercials) that Sucker Punch is coming out soon. I'd have rather seen that.

And, since only a block away was a Barnes & Noble, we walked over there. And I ended up getting two books for my sister, one for my brother, and I got myself Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. I almost also got a collection of short mystery stories by Agatha Christie, but it all would have been too expensive.

I almost want Pokemon Black. Except for the legendary dragon (I'd rather have the Dragon/Electric instead of Dragon/Fire, and I like Fire types), the few I do like and want are in it, including one White exclusive that's in an in-game trade anyway. But I'll just wait for the inevitable third and improved version.

I'm sick again, for the second time in a month. Although this is more an actual virus this time, though it still sucks.

Working my way through Tegami Bachi and Yozakura Quartet. And I picked up Darker than BLACK on a whim, though I have heard good things about it.

I hate it when I get a nail trimmed too close. Or at least in this case, I kind of had to, because I split it a little. Luckily not much lower than when I accidentally trim too close and not the whole nail taken off. That's a pain in itself.

On Sunday I never went to lunch until noon. And before that, between 5:00am and then, I got 10 minutes total to sit down and eat anything. So I was too hungry to be too pissed off. Plus getting books at Barnes & Noble helped. I got the first two volumes of Tegami Bachi (at the recommendation of a friend) and the first two volumes of Yozakura Quartet (which I've been reading online and didn't know was being published officially). And I even went back on Monday (after I stopped GameStop for the Pokemon event) and got Whitechapel Gods (at the recommendation of another friend). And the new Kingdom Hearts, but that was separate and on sale at K-Mart.

I've finally found that it's only taken three exercises, and I can finally letter almost as well as I could years ago. Also, I finally got out at 7:30 tonight, the earliest ever.

I'd like to know the logic behind having to take a board drafting class for a CAD degree. Although I'm pretty sure it's more an elective now.
I also kind of wish it were a little earlier. It's 6:00-8:50, and both classes so far, I've gotten out around 8:30. Maybe if it were an hour earlier.

I finally found Mogworld, at Books-A-Million of all places. So, no discount (though I could have gotten a card; I just don't shop there very often at all), but it wasn't too much anyway. Plus it saved me the time waiting for it to ship to me.
Not to mention, I'm trying to figure out which Agatha Christie's to get next. I don't even know where to continue.

I think I'm done with post-Christmas shopping. Except maybe one thing. I'd still really like to own Sherlock.

Continuing from the two books I bought on Friday, I also got two movies (The Great Mouse Detective and Pirate Radio, the former because it's my favorite Disney movie and the latter because I just saw it recently and loved it). I also got Pokemon Platinum (finally), and if I can ever figure out how to set up the WiFi, it might actually prove to be useful. Also, there aren't enough fire types, and I don't like the starter monkey.

First post of the year!

And I spend my New Years like I have for the last few years: With SciFi's Twilight Zone marathon. Except from 8-10 because of goddamn wrestling. And then at midnight because I switched to Whose Line on ABC Family, partly to watch and partly because the two episodes happened to be ones I didn't care too much for.

Went to the mall during lunch today. I think it's been almost a month since I last went. I went looking for a few books, but I only ended up finding and getting two: And Then There Were None and Murder on the Orient Express, both by Agatha Christie. The former is actually really good, as the reviews I've seen, even after only three chapters in.

I got to be all by myself last night. Whether anyone else had just not shown up, or if anyone had even been talked to other than me, I don't know. But, for the most part, it was uneventful. The satellite was all screwy, so the muzak system was all broken up and I didn't have to listen to those insipid Christmas songs even though I had my Zune anyway. The only thing that happened was when I did finally make it over to the direction of toys and made the mistake of walking past a bunch of those demon-possessed babies that bounce up and down and make noises when you walk past them.

HOPEFULLY the stuff I ordered today will be here by Friday, even though I went for standard shipping. I don't completely trust Amazon, though.
